Comment from OKAZAKI Haruka
The recent World Cup events in Prague and Augsburg were both a valuable learning experience and a frustrating result for me. The technical nature of course design has become increasingly prominent at the global level in recent years, and these races reminded me that improving my adaptability and tactical judgement remains a key challenge. To compete with the world’s top athletes, I need to develop the solid technical ability required to navigate these highly demanding sections.
Having already secured qualification for the Asian Games, I now have a valuable opportunity to rebuild and strengthen my performance. After returning to Japan, I will continue training domestically, working to overcome the issues identified through these races and preparing to deliver my best performance at the World Championships, future World Cup events, and the Asian Games.
I will continue striving for further growth, and I sincerely appreciate your continued support.

OKAZAKI’s next challenge will be at the 2026 ICF CANOE SLALOM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, to be held from 20–25 July 2026 in Oklahoma City, USA.
