TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan) has implemented a significant revision of its human resources system, reflecting the TSUNEISHI Group’s policy of Driven by People, Committed to People. This initiative, which aligns with the company’s Medium-Term Business Management Plan through to 2028, specifically targets the strategic pillar of Human Resource Development. The revision includes substantial increase in base salaries and expanded family-related allowances.

The objective of this reform is to foster a workplace environment where all employees can work with confidence, motivation and peace of mind. As part of the revision, the starting salary for new graduates has been increased by 19 % compared to 2024 levels, rising to JPY 280,000 per month ⁽*¹⁾.

In addition, to better support employees raising children, the company has doubled its monthly child allowance from JPY 5,000 to JPY 10,000 per child (up to the age of 22, provided they are legally registered as dependents). Furthermore, recognising that existing national subsidies and in-house provisions did not sufficiently offset the costs associated with childbirth, TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING has raised its childbirth support allowance to a maximum of JPY 300,000 ⁽*²⁾, thereby easing the financial burden for employees expanding their families.
