TSUNEISHI AKISHIMA LABORATORY Holds 2024 In-House Research Presentation Event
25 July 2025 – TSUNEISHI AKISHIMA LABORATORY (hereinafter “ TSUNEISHI AKISHIMA”) held its 2024 In-House Research Presentation Event at the institute’s main hall.
During the event, five research themes conducted between July 2024 and June 2025 were selected by TSUNEISHI AKISHIMA management team for presentation. Each research leader showcased their achievements, which were then evaluated by senior staff. Based on these evaluations, the “Best Presentation Award” and the “Special Recognition Award” were presented. In addition, the “Leaflet Award” was determined through a vote by all employees, highlighting the most engaging research from the audience’s perspective.
Award Recipients:
・Best Presentation Award
Research on evaluating safe transfer methods for maintenance personnel to offshore wind turbine towers.
・Special Recognition Award
Research on estimating and improving the propulsion performance of a large vessel with a high block coefficient, equipped with stern energy-saving devices, using CFD analysis and towing tank experiments.
・Leaflet Award
Research on the advancement of CFD simulation methods for actual vessels, incorporating hull fouling effects (This research formed part of a doctoral dissertation that was recognised with the conferral of a PhD from Kobe University).
Award recipients were honoured during a beer party held after work on the same day, providing an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and foster camaraderie among employees.
