TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU) Volunteers Renovate Local School Facilities in the Philippines
TSUNEISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES (CEBU), Inc., a shipbuilding facility of TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. in the Philippines, carried out repair work at Buanoy Central Elementary School, located in close proximity to the factory. This initiative forms part of the company’s ongoing educational support activities for the local community and is conducted annually. On this occasion, a total of 241 employees from the Philippine facility took part as volunteers.
Despite the intense heat, the volunteers worked with great dedication, undertaking repairs to classrooms and an ageing stage, repairing ceilings, and fixing desks and chairs – all with the aim of improving the learning environment for local children. The newly refurbished facilities were met with delight by both students and staff, while participating employees expressed a sense of fulfilment in contributing to the community.
