TSUNEISHI Group Recognised as a “Supplier Engagement Leader” in CDP 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment

TSUNEISHI Group has achieved the highest rating of “A” in the 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP, an international non-profit organisation that promotes environmental disclosure, and was recognised as a Supplier Engagement Leader for the first time.
The Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) assesses how effectively companies engage with suppliers on climate-related issues across their value chains. Supplier Engagement Leaders are selected from among companies that respond to CDP’s climate-change questionnaire.
On average, Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions are estimated to be 26 times greater than a company’s direct and indirect emissions. For this reason, collaboration with suppliers is essential to reducing emissions worldwide. The SEA is therefore established as a separate assessment criterion from CDP’s overall score.
The recognition reflects TSUNEISHI Group’s track record in calculating Scope 3 emissions and its governance framework for promoting climate action. The assessment also recognised the Group’s unique business model, which enables it to cover the international maritime supply chain in an integrated manner, from shipbuilding through to vessel ownership and operation.
TSUNEISHI Group positions sustainability at the core of its management and aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2050. Going forward, the Group will continue working with suppliers to reduce environmental impact across the value chain and contribute to the realisation of a sustainable and decarbonised society through the provision of energy-efficient products and systems and the development of essential infrastructure.
