TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Holds the 24th “TSUNEISHI Tech Olympics” to Advance Craftsmanship and Shipbuilding Quality
15 November 2025 – TSUNEISHI SHIPBUILDING Co., Ltd. held the 24th TSUNEISHI Tech Olympics at the TSUNEISHI Factory, reaffirming the company’s commitment to cultivating technical excellence and ensuring consistently high construction quality. The annual in-house competition showcases core shipbuilding skills – including welding, painting and equipment handling – and provides employees with an opportunity to demonstrate the techniques they refine in their daily work.
This year’s theme, “Michishirube – A Guiding Path”, was inspired by the TSUNEISHI Roadmap event held in April 2025. The theme reflects the aspiration that each participant continues to develop their expertise, become role models within the organization, and ultimately guide the next generation of shipbuilders.

The TSUNEISHI Tech Olympics was first held at the TSUNEISHI Factory in 2001, beginning with a single welding category. Over the years, the programme has expanded to include multiple disciplines and has been held annually. The initiative was introduced at the China Factory from 2011 and at the Philippines Factory in 2012, and continues to play a central role in enhancing technical capability and improving quality across the TSUNEISHI Group’s Shipbuilding Segment.
