On 6 June, the company-held a factory-wide clean-up involving all employees, who worked together to tidy the shipyard premises, office facilities, and surrounding neighbourhoods. This initiative formed part of \u201cUMIGOMI ZERO Week 2025\u201d, a nationwide clean-up campaign conducted under the Nippon Foundation\u2019s \u201cCHANGE FOR THE BLUE\u201d initiative, which is part of the \u201cUmi to Nihon PROJECT\u201d. As a company deeply rooted in maritime activities, MIHO SHIPYARD takes part in this campaign annually. Further to this, on 7 June, employees and their family members participated in a separate clean-up operation along the Miho Masaki coastline. This volunteer initiative, organised by the Shizuoka City Environmental Conservation Promotion Council, has seen MIHO SHIPYARD\u2019s active involvement for over 20 years. This year, around 16 participants, including family members, joined the activity. This event also welcomed broad participation from other local businesses as part of their ISO 14000 environmental management efforts, drawing approximately 500 volunteers from 43 companies. These activities not only support environmental protection but also foster stronger relationships with the local community. Through these two clean-up initiatives, participants gained a deeper understanding of the growing problem of marine litter and the importance of environmental preservation and regional contribution.
