The TFCI has been engaged in tree-planting and environmental protection activities since 2012 as part of its social contribution programme. This was the 14th tree-planting activity.
A total of 205 volunteers from TSUNEISHI Group companies participated in this tree-planting activity, planting saplings of trees known as Tugas (Vitex parviflora, English name: Molave) in the local language. Despite the muddy ground caused by rain the night before, the participants worked carefully and methodically, checking their footing and planting 2,000 trees.
Ryo Kaizaki, director of the TFCI, stated, “The saplings planted today will mature into a thriving forest, enhancing the natural environment for the community and future generations. Furthermore, this initiative will contribute to the prevention of landslides and ensure the provision of clean water and air.” He expressed his gratitude to the volunteers for their contributions.
The TFCI will continue to engage in tree-planting activities and community-based environmental protection initiatives with the objective of creating a rich natural environment.
