- Withdrawal from Management of the Akashi-Awaji Ferry Co., Ltd.
- Tsuneishi Holdings Inc. (Headquarters: 1083, Tsuneishi, Numakuma-cho, Fukuyama city, Hiroshima, President Katsushige Kambara) announces that it is withdrawing from the management of the Akashi-Awaji Ferry Co., Ltd., following an extraordinary shareholders' meeting held on December 24th, 2010, which decided on a new management structure for the company.
As a shareholder, Tsuneishi Holdings has always seen timely payment to both employees and third parties as the most important thing, and has pursued consultations with the four shareholder municipalities. As a result, the issue of unpaid amounts has been adequately resolved, and it was decided in today's extraordinary shareholders' meeting to establish a new management system. Tsuneishi Holdings is therefore withdrawing from the management of the company. Executives dispatched to the company will resign, and all shares owned by Tsuneishi Holdings will be sold to Awaji Jenova Line Co., Ltd . We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to both customers and employees by the suspension of services, but after the new management system comes into effect there will be discussion of the reopening of the lines. We sincerely hope for the quick success of this venture.
